Craftsmanship Museum workshops

The Craftsmanship Museum holds various visits and workshops. You can book a small group visit to the Coppersmith’s House and Sparvin House workshop. The museum welcomes day-care and school groups, families, and other groups. In addition, there are self-directed nonstop workshops at the Sparvin House throughout the year during the opening hours of Museum Shop Sparvin. Plenty of fun, activities and stories, all for free!

Fun and activities at CRAFTSMEN´S HOUSES

The workshop investigates what games people used to play. Craft your own toy to take home with you.

Time: Workshop visits are available Mon-Fri from 10.00am – 3.00pm
Place: Coppersmith’s House and the Sparvin House, Toivola Old Courtyard, Cygnaeuksenkatu 2
For: Day-care groups or other small groups
Duration: 30–60 min.

“Stories from the old chest” workshop

How on earth did the Coppersmith’s House fit the smith’s many children, a journeyman, apprentice, tenant and customers inside of it? And what can be found hidden in the old chest? The workshop searches the old chest for stories about the lives of the coppersmith, carpenter, and shoemaker. Visitors will also try out some traditional crafting that they can take home with them at the Sparvin House workshop.

Time: Workshop visits are available Mon-Fri from 10.00am – 3.00pm
