Welcome to the summer theater performances at Toivola’s old courtyard by Repliikki! This summer, the beloved children’s classic, Pippi Longstocking, takes the stage.

Astrid Lindgren’s iconic character, Pippi Longstocking, brings with her a breath of joy and freedom. The story tells of the world’s strongest girl, who has a heart full of courage and a head full of wild ideas. Pippi lives in her colorful Villa Villekulla with Mr. Nilsson and her horse, free from the rules and dictates of adults. Pippi’s best friends, Tommy and Annika, are always ready for an adventure that only Pippi could come up with.

This dramatization by Staffan Götestam, translated into Finnish by Liisa Ryömä, brings a story to the stage that has delighted generations. Pippi Longstocking is a tale of friendship, accepting differences, and the courage to be oneself.
